Rolled Cup Final notice… T1 vs. underdog mythology DRX

[ Park Yeo-jin] The 2022 League of Legends World Championships are left only before the finals. LACK (Korea) representative T1 and DRX are confronting the finals with the summoner’s cup.

The 2022 League of Legends World Championships (Rolled Cup) will be held at Chase Center in San Francisco, California, USA on the 6th.

It has been five years since 2017 that the teams who participated as LCK representatives faced the stage of the Rolled Cup final. In 2015, SK Telecom T1 and TOO Tigers, 2016 and 2017 SK Telecom T1 and Samsung Galaxy faced the Rolled Cup finals. As the Rolled Cup finals were faced with the LCK team this year, the LCK won seven of the 12 Rolled Cups.

The T1 won the first year of the LOL team in 2013 and won the championship. He won the 2015 and 2016 consecutive championship and set the record of winning the first Rolled Cup three times.

‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyuk, who represents the T1, is the only player to win the Rolled Cup four times if he wins the championship. Lee Sang-hyuk, who is the number one cumulative kill score category in the individual record category, is on the 400 kills if he adds 15 kills in the finals.

BAE Sung-woong, who won the Rolled Cup in 2013, 2015 and 2016 with Lee Sang-hyuk, is the first person to lift the summoner’s cup as a player and manager if he wins the Rolled Cup.

DRX’s autumn walk was literally a drama. After a full set of KT Pollster and Live Sandbox in the LCK representative, DRX was a five-game victory in the play-in-stage in Mexico City and joined the group stage with the first place in Group B.

In the group stage, the LEC (European) seed, Log 1, LPL (China) Seed, and Top esports and DRX, which were organized in a group, broke the expectations of all and passed the first place. In the quarter-finals, DRX won the reverse sweep victory for the defending champion, Edward Gaming, and won the finals with LCK No. 1 Seed Benji 3-1 in the semifinals.

If there is ‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyuk in the T1, DRX has a long-range dealer ‘Gift’ Kim Ryukyu. Kim Ryukyu, who won the Rolled Cup semi-finals in 2014 as a member of the Samsung Galaxy Blue, participated in the Rolled Cup five times, but failed to cross the quarter-finals and won the final stage for the first time this year. It is also concerned that Kim Ryukyu’s ‘Last Dance’, which has been in the finals after 10 years of career, will be finished with the championship.

Among the members of DRX, the supporter ‘Berry’, who has won the Rolled Cup, set a record for the Rolled Cup final for three consecutive years. CHO Knee, who won the championship in the 2020 uniform of Damon Kia, won the runner-up last year, and the finals will be in the Rolled Cup final for three consecutive years as a member of the DRX.

In the last three years of T1 and DRX, the T1 has an overwhelming advantage, with 12 wins and 2 losses. In the 2020 Spring Regular League, he won the second round of the playoffs. The DRX won twice in the first round of the 2020 and the first round of Spring in 2021, but the set score was 2 to 1, a full set.

The T1 has been winning eight consecutive wins against DRX, including the regular league 7 and 2021 Spring Playoffs since the first round of Spring last year. In the process, the T1 won the victory by decorating all seven regular league victories 2-0.

The T1 is far ahead of the opponent’s record, but the DRX’s move in the Rolled Cup was ignored. Before the quarter-finals against Benji, DRX had been defeated for seven consecutive games, but when he opened the lid, he won 3-1. Even if it is a strong T1 that is strong for DRX, it is not easy to guarantee victory because it is a DRX that continues to play from play-in-stage to final.
