Skul: The Hero Slayer arrives on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on October 21st. This rogue-lite adventure is already available on PC.
These console versions will arrive before a new content update is launched for the game, which can encourage former players to take over the game. This update includes changes in the skull system and a new difficult mode .
For skulls, the Soutpaw Games developer feels like I did not have a good balancing job and make everyone fun to use. They will go back and watch all skulls to rebalance them and try to make them all so nice.
Here s what they think is the main problem with skulls:
The skulls have developed from the beginning with performance and mechanisms lower than those developed later.
Skulls lacking coherence in the mechanism with their awakening process.
Skulls that can not fully discover their potential due to aspects of the game, including enemies.
Skulls with low specifications or poor control experience.
The update also brings a new difficult fashion. The new update is not intended to make the player weaker or simply to give more health to the enemy. SouthPaw Games envisioned them at the same time as the change in the pattern of the leaves, but they finally opted for something much more interesting. The difficult mode will feature new enemies with more complex patterns.
Developers also seek to refine the way you go up in difficult mode by reducing some of the RNG factors to give you more synergy and a better chance to overcome the new enemies that will appear in each chapter. You can find out more about what will be in the update here.
I have not had the opportunity to discover Skul: The Hero Slayer, but a Switch version will be the perfect opportunity for me to try it with the new content. I can not wait to see him.
